Former White House advisor and Thomson Reuters executive brings cross-sector leadership to family office with offices in Tysons Corner and Atlanta
TYSONS CORNER, VA, and ATLANTA, GA — November 6, 2026 — Panton Equity Partners (PEP), a private family office founded by Dr. David Panton, today announced the appointment of Heather C. Panton as President, effective November 6, 2026.
Panton brings senior leadership experience across business, government, philanthropy, and public policy. As president, she will oversee the firm’s strategic direction and operations, strengthen relationships with portfolio companies and partners, and work alongside its founder to advance long-term growth.

Panton, known professionally during her prior roles as Heather C. Fischer, joins PEP following the conclusion of her tenure as Senior Advisor at Thomson Reuters. At Thomson Reuters, her work connected corporate strategy, technology, and partnerships to address global challenges. Her experience includes advancing responsible business practices and working with government and corporate leaders on human rights, supply chain transparency, and the use of data and technology for social good.
Previously, Panton served as the first White House Special Advisor for Human Trafficking, advising the President of the United States and helping coordinate the administration’s efforts across federal agencies to combat human trafficking and child exploitation. Her career also includes senior roles at the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the U.S. Department of State, the McCain Institute at Arizona State University, and Love146.

Panton holds an Executive Master of International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, where she graduated with distinction. She is an Eisenhower USA Fellow, a Center for Strategic and International Studies Strategy and Statecraft Fellow, and a graduate of the McKinsey Academy Executive Leadership Program.
